The four Pelotonia rides will start in Columbus at Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS), the global leader in chemical information and a division of the American Chemical Society. CAS is located near Ohio State's campus on Olentangy River Road.

About CAS

Chemistry is at the core of cancer research and aids in drug discovery and development, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment. CAS’ team of scientists creates and delivers the most complete and effective digital research information environment that is used by scientists—including cancer researchers—around the world.

CAS databases are the world’s largest and most current collection of chemical and related scientific information. They include the most authoritative collection of disclosed chemical substance information, the CAS REGISTRYSM.  CAS databases provide researchers with pathways to published research in the world's journal and patent literature.

By combining these databases with advanced search and analysis technologies found in its products and services such as SciFinder and STN, CAS helps scientists find information that is vital to their research process.

The cure for cancer starts with research. Research starts with CAS.

CAS is located on more than 50 acres and will serve as an ideal location for the Pelotonia's Friday evening celebration and Saturday morning launch.
